Your gaze takes my breath,
My heart stutters and fails
My blood drains from my body

I collapse, limp on the floor
My mind is slipping away
My eyes look without seeing
I’m floating somewhere, far, far away…

I have no emotions,
No thoughts left in me,
Your love was all that I had,
You took that away from me
It kept my heart beating,
Blood pulsing in my veins

All that is left are distant memories,
Like echoes, ringing in my ears
All your fake words of love,
That once seemed so real
That then seemed so true
