Nothing Poem by Felix Lee

Nothing

Sometimes, it hurts,
It hurts
So badly.
Empty seats.
Bruises.
That emptiness in you.
It’s almost as if,
As if you’ll soon be gone,
As if you’re,
Disappearing so quickly,
Soon.
And there’s nothing,
Nothing that I
Can do.
To See you,
So listless,
So tired,
So frightened,
Makes me feel,
Hurt,
Sadness,
Anger.
Hurt.
For there is nothing that I
Can do.
Nothing,
At all.
Eyes tear,
Heart break,
Hands shake.
Is there nothing?
So upset.
Why?
You mean…
Nothing to me?
My friend.
Of course.
How could I ever
Forget?
Apologise.
Just me.
Always me.
Always wanting to please,
Never knowing when
To stop.
And when I do,
It hurts,
Not just me,
But also you.
I’m not suited
To be your friend.
You’re too perfect.
And I’m not
And shall never be.
But it hurts,
Knowing that I can
Never be on par
With you.
With you.
Hurt.
Nothing.
All lost.
Nothing that I
Can do for you.
But I want to,
Really want to.
Because you,
Are my friend.
And I,
Just want to help.
But I just create,
Emptiness.
Nothing,
At all.
