Here I stand. Imprisoned in this severely dark infinity of nothing.
Nothing. That’s All there is to it.
I keep hoping that if I scream or shout loud enough, that something or someone might free me from this personal hell.
Still. There’s nothing. Can anybody hear me?
No. Of course not. There’s nothing here.
The voices in my head tell me that if I focus, and stay on track that I’d see a bright light. They said to follow that light. Never get off track.
I’ve seen that light & followed that path. Then I blink.
Once again, there’s nothing.
Am I to be trapped here forever with nothing?
Am I to wait here endlessly for death to come?
Am I to sit here and endure nothing? Calling out but no one seems to hear?
No. I’ve decided to fight. The fight may be hard at first. But I’ll once again find that light.
No one is to rescue me. I’ll find that light & follow that path to rescue myself.
I feel & know that it’s my responsibility. Mine and only mine.
Nothing won’t engulf me. I am somebody, & somebody is me.
Soon, and very soon I’ll be free. Because nothing won’t engulf me, for I am somebody.
And somebody is me.
