The echo rang, my soul hollow and in pain. Almost nothing left. As she gave me one last gift.
Profound damage to my soul, and I can't manage to feel the cold. Or much of anything for that matter. 'I'm fine, nothing is wrong or the matter' I say as the family gathers.
Tension and points of contention, as I confront the hollow husk that has become my reflection. I only see someone who's past the point of redemption. What's left of my soul is fading away as I lose connection, of who I used to be. I have little recollection.
I want to stop the soul consuming hollowness.
I want to stop the agonizing sadness.
I want to make my great escape, maybe finally have peace and happiness, to stop feeling this madness, to stop the growing listless numbness, as I return what's left of my broken soul back to the black nothingness.
