Nothing Left. Poem by Graham Jones

Nothing Left.

Rating: 5.0

Take the rocks, take the stones
Take my heart and strip the bones
Take my flesh and then the clothes
And anything that even flows

You've got my heart and my soul
Nothing left, not even whole
Though I'm still here, yet not alive
So what more can you deprive

I gave you love, you gave me pain
Yo u even made me feel ashamed
But thats all gone and in the past
I have survived, I'm back at last

And where are you my little dove?
He's taken on another love
Sympathy, no, no my pet
For all our friends will not forget

For what you sow, now you shall reap
The pain and tears, you now can keep
No more excuses, no more screams
Your face has faded from my dreams.
