Now Worry And Fear Past Was Better And Dear Poem by Angela Peniska

Now Worry And Fear Past Was Better And Dear

A silhouette in the mirror, veiled in haze,
her heart a chamber where the hurt always stays.

Wistful memories drift through quiet rooms,
echoes of laughter brushing the edges of gloom.

She waits in the hush, body alert before thought,
air trembling with moments that cannot be caught.

Shadows curl like smoke around her chest,
softly pressing, yet leaving space to rest.

A thread of warmth hums beneath the weight,
a pulse of courage she cannot name,
yet feels, as the haze begins to break
and the mirror yields a clearer frame.

Her heart, once a chamber of lingering ache,
breathes in the soft light the dawn will make.
She leans into the glow, letting it stay,
and finds herself stepping quietly into day.
