Numb Poem by Nikia Chesney

Numb

She dwells in twilight,
between day and night,
between spirit and matter,
between conscious and unconscious,
where everything lies dormant.

Floating endlessly over heartaches,
like fallen leaves weightless over the river.

Frozen in existance,
tears suspended over the abyss,
denied any release.
