O C D Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

O C D

Where all is in place...perfectly-
with everything else that surrounds it.
Symmetrical, in every direction,
by every dimension, yet, NOT-
to the Obsessive Eye
and the mercurial mind
compulsively disordered,
geared for, in fear of perfection,
like Hughes and Jackson in air, on stage.

Peripheral observations in deja-vu,
as it's all and again non sequitur
to the Mind and disturbed human eye,
for no one could possibly gauge
lengths, widths or heights perfection!
tape measure is all that be needed,
as tape measures have no need to deceive;
Yet, what if the tape is not accurate,
in the mind of obsessive rationale?
Repetition, repetition, exhausting and then-
on it goes, on it goes, time and again;
but NOT-to the Obsessive Eye
of the compulsive disordered;
