O.K.? - Poem by Brianna Wilshusen

I am ok am I not?
My heart is bursting,
I watch you walk.
You turn back to me,
I love you!
I love you too!
As you walk away
My heart cries out,
Don't let him go!
I'll see him tomorrow,
It will be fine.
I tell my heart
That he is devine.
He is, he is,
My soul he is.
As he walks away
My heart goes with.
He has captured my heart,
He has stolen my soul.
WIthout him I feel sad,
My heart is breaking.
I want to be with him
I really do.

He is the love of my life
But I'm only sixteen!
I'm in love with my man
He asked me to wed him!
I said yes, I want to go to Vegas,
He wants it formal
I want no family there.
We agree but disagree,
When we are eighteen.
The wedding will be,
Two years I can't wait!
I hate where I am,
Love come save me
My gram is a horror!
Please don't leave,
You must go must but no!
I want to be with you,
The rest of my life.
He must go home
To his lonley bed.
I want to be with him, truely I do,
I'm a virgin what to do!
I love him, we will marry,
But can I wait,
I must break free!
My family is horrid,
My life a mess.
He is my support,
He keeps me up.
But when he walks away,
Thought I will see him again...
My heart breaks and I cry.
As he gets out of sight I collapse,
My body crumpling to the floor.
I wake up at home
He is not there!
I cry and cry
I miss him so.
Could it have only been and hour?

I am NOT O.K.!
I need him near,
My family dose not like him.
I fear if I leave they will hunt him,
I do not want him in danger
So at home I stay, in pain.
The heartache, the loss
My head is throbing
My legs are jell-o.
My body aches,
My mind is racing
My heart is slowing...
A knock at the door and
In he comes!
My heart beats faster
As I begin to breath.
He is here!
I sit up smiling
Like nothing is wrong.
I'm alive, I almost died
He saved me, he did!
But soon he leaves,
To soon for me.
But I am alright at the moment,
Will this happen again?
Will he leave and I collapse?
Will I be with him or die?
I can't live without him,
But I am O.K.
