O Lazy Time (Sonnet #75) Poem by Tina Rizk

O Lazy Time (Sonnet #75)

O lazy time, what are you waiting for?
Why do your minutes creep like snails all day?
Why do your weeks weakly tread on the floor?
While I long for my love to come my way

Can't you see that I count each passing hour?
Hoping that oceans will vanish or dry
And that miles will fold by some magic power
To embrace my love with my arms and fly

Fear not O love, I hold you deep within
Deep in my heart, should you stand close or far
My heart, its map, in your name are written
I belong to you, my soulmate you are

Whenever I miss you, with you I am
In my heart, my soul, and my love poems
