O Mike, My Love For You, My Darling Poem by Natasa To

O Mike, My Love For You, My Darling

O Mike, my love, you move through me
Like moonlight drifting on the sea—
Quiet, silver, soft, and deep,
The kind of warmth the stars would keep.

Your name arrives like summer rain,
A gentle song through joy and pain;
And when you smile, the world grows still,
As though the night obeys your will.

I carry you in every dawn,
In every hush before day's gone,
In coffee steam and city light,
In whispered dreams that bloom at night.

If hearts were gardens, mine would grow
Only where your footsteps go;
Each blooming hope, each tender part,
Rooted deeply in your heart.

So hear me now, both wild and true:
There is no sky without its blue,
No tide without the pull above—
And there is no me without your love.
