Beneath the branches of our oak tree.
I found you.
Together forever, until they took you away.
I walk here today, to see the heart we carved.
That heart and so much more would break.
Snap like roots- deep as time.
I still miss you, I watch the tree and think of you.
Your laugh like wind through leaves at dusk,
A whisper soft. You say my name.
And in your shade, I think of only you.
