Obsessive Compulsive And You Poem by Lindsay Stanley

Obsessive Compulsive And You

Of all the people in the world
My heart chose yours.
All of the loud thoughts constantly running through my head
Finally went silent.
Living with obsessive compulsive disorder is draining and consuming
But being with you kept everything moving.
I keep my distance now to allow time to heal
But i can't deny the way that i feel.
It quickly went from even numbers and triple checking doors
To wondering how your day went and wanting to see you more.
This unwavering desire turned into an unhealthy obsession
My mind is flooded with memories and questions.
And now I triple check my phone to see if you'll come out of the blue
I guess it is appropriate to call this Obsessive Compulsive and You.
