Occidamus Christiani Poem by Chidiebube onye Okohia

Occidamus Christiani

Let us kill the Christians,
They who've bid farewell to th' Word's reverence,
They lead th' dark and sinister dreams of pagans
And purchased wholly phantasms by mere indulgence,
Like Babylon; they're drunk
And their heads in intoxicated orgy is sunk;
Their drooping spirit trod the synagogue's path
They're eager for the grasp o' all new earthly bliss
E'en the Moslem tender their faith like the hearth
But the Christ-likes live, ne'er to preach from their wits;
So let Us blaze them in open flames
For the new religion will live in a mazy phase
