Occurances In A Ghetto Courtyard Poem by Lane Morein

Occurances In A Ghetto Courtyard

Rating: 5.0

they are arguing again
like clockwork
over ten dollars
outside in the crisp night air
in the cramped courtyard
next to my open studio window
she screams
untamed and brutal with malice and unadulterated rage
but the police sirens
from a not so far distance
dont even phase them
she turns tricks
for nothing
i guess
