Ocean Poem by Rylee Kay Tagaban

Ocean

Pink coral under the sparkling water
Starfish like night sky under swaying feet
Shimmering tide pools the ocean's daughter
The shore and the island where both worlds meet
Abandoned shells once luxurious homes
Fish swim to escape hungry deathbeds
Underwater whirlpools creating domes
Sleepy baby oysters sleep in sea beds
Luminous jellyfish bob like they're lost
The deep parts of the ocean hold the dark
Whales take on the squid no matter the cost
A way finding sailor making her mark
My ocean is a prosperous place
Sink into the water for warm embrace
