Welcome to my home
To the land of leaders
Whose tongues are crease with lies
Welcome to the home of oil
Where our joints are not creased
But everyman seeking personal spoil
Welcome to the home
Where strangers are more important
Than indigenes
Welcome to the land
Where the poor know no rights
Rather fight their same class
Welcome to the land
Where the masses are ladder to elite thrones
The pawn in the church
Welcome to the land
Where the elites are united
The poor divided
Welcome to a land
Where religion and tribe
Is for selfish gain
Welcome to a land
Where the economy is not a concern of many
Yet we quest for the best.
Welcome to my home
Where my father is careless
And his advisers liars
Welcome to Nigeria
Where we have no right
Or our voices heard
Welcome brothers and sisters
Welcome my son's and daughters
This is our home....
Farewell my mothers and fathers
This is the home you built
A home of tears and agonies
We shall live in this home
But shall not leave same to our children
We shall peace and harmony
We shall hope and faith
We shall handover a home of wealth
Filled with health
Where religion shall be a fate
And region a location, not identity.
Welcome to a home with a future.
Welcome home....
Welcome to Nigeria.
