October Poem by nicole southwell

October

Swinging at the park on a clear October night
It's getting much colder with not as much daylight

I see you stepping out of your car
I keep an open mind
For what's written in the stars
A sliver of moon as I gaze into the sky

Sweet brown eyes
I couldn't resist
At the lake by the fire
I needed that kiss

A journey of love began that night we met
All of these things are details I'll never forget
