Odd Love Poem by Lynne RBC

Odd Love

Rating: 1.5

It's unfair
the way you stare
and the roller coaster ride
begins
lifting me off my shin
half-baked smile
or frown
if I can only look back
with my head down.

It's not right
when you're out of sight
and I'm out of breath
suffocating
heart's irregular beating
of relief
or sadness
wanting you near
but not too close -
or madness!

It's not working
your begging
or mine,
the signs
just get away
everytime.
I despise you
for wanting
You spite me
for stopping

but
we love.
