Ode to Cashmere (Kashmir)
O'Cashmere
The wind amid forests which blows there in mountains ensnared my heart
Plodding through the verdancy such bliss never gets apart,
I still can smell the old oak of wood, the clogs and streams
My heart dwells there where I shall find this again? In the realm of Dreams? ,
My Long Lost Love! the pangs separation kills as chilly wind kills the spine
Nothing will be same again When I will revisit those pines,
My eyes aches with a stillness of gaze like a frozen Jhelum,
My soul is covered with a white shroud like a snowy Neelum,
On the Banks where Neelum-Jhelum meets I threw my heart
Into the depths where nothing can bring it back! No Art.
The wind often smells like you
The roads travelled with you making colorful hues,
Like a flower with a morning first dew
O'Cashmere!
Tell him the stories of my pain
I miss him while plodding through the memories invain,
But my heart gives solace to see him happy, convivial and glee
But I am enchained to time, standing still where I was. No revival, No flee.
