Ode To Kellie Pickler Poem by maggie signaigo

Ode To Kellie Pickler

I'm just a shade this side
of suicidal
a travesty last week
on American Idol
Kellie goes home
and Paris remains?
I can think of no reason
that truly explains
America's decision
to vote this way
you don't send a girl home
on a bad hair day
unfairly ridiculed
for things she did
mis-pronouncing salmon
and eating squid
young girls screamed for her
she's a hit with the fellas
Randy and Simon were fans
but Paula was jealous
well, they've lost this viewer
I won't tune in to watch
the guy with gray hair
or the bald guy's crotch
maybe I'll send her this poem
along with a letter
just to tell her she's the greatest
there's nobody better
she had her chance to shine
but come tomorrow
she's a roller skating waitress
from Albemarle...

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Kellie is adorable...and very, very young. She'll go far....just on sheer grits...I mean grit alone! I'm hooked on the show...just started watching it last season....I don't get to see it all the time...because of statistics...but I enjoy it very much. Nice one, Maggie.

She was cute and charming at first, but as the competition went along, it was clear to see, she was no where near the best in the competition. dan
