Ode To Kobe Bryant - Poem by David Oluwatobi Akinola
Like David conquering Goliath,
He’s conquered the greatest at infantry.
Like air having no restrictions,
He’s not restricted by anybody,
Nor by 4ft behind the backboard,
Nor by 15ft at the free throw,
Nor by 22ft from the basket,
Nor by 24ft from the basket,
Nor by 25ft or beyond from the basket,
Nor by time as he wows everyone with omega shots.
Like a fish having a smooth drive through an opposing current
He drives through the slim and thick, rough and smooth,
With his sharp brain,
Skillful hands, and
The treasure, the legend, the Olympian…..
