Ode To Rumi Poem by Husna Amin

Ode To Rumi

Trying to kiss the pouring sleep with my eyes...
But, what do I do
When they are so full of you?
In every word, every pronouncement
How did you pour your heart?
Was it not given to anyone, dear poet?
Was it never destroyed?
Holding you in my hands
This night, and many
Your verse fills my eyes
Like a jar filled with honey
Let me believe you were a sorcerer
Playing tricks on the intrigued minds
Each night I lose my sleep
Each night a new dream I find...
