Of A Bird Lost Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

Of A Bird Lost

It was not so long ago
That flew a bird
As white as divine

And it flew straight
In a crooked world
In search of its home

But there was
Not a single tree in sight
For it to make its home

So it flew
Over the mountains
And the oceans wide
Until there was
Not a human soul in sight

The bird flew higher
And grew stronger
And its eyes shone bright
And the sun rays
Reflected off its feathers

The heaven smiled
But the earthly world
Could not find a place
For a bird as pure as divine

The bird
Carried a sorrowful heart
And its wings held joyous
Blessings

And over whom it flew
It was told
Found a peaceful wonder
Rise among their souls

But the bird
Who blessed so many
Slowly grew weak and weary
The burden of the earth
Proved too much
And too many

And the bird
Fell off the side
Of a great blue mountain

They say
A stream did rise
Which flowed to meet the seas

And the stream carried
An unknown sorrow
Of a bird lost
In search of tomorrow
