Of Celestial Chains Of Musical Echo (For Madhavi Menon) Poem by Anita Shanti Joseph

Of Celestial Chains Of Musical Echo (For Madhavi Menon)

Once a room in garden grew
Brilliant like the sunflower, I knew
At sundown her cosy corner shone
Wearing a rosy look that charmed
Radiance entwined, with every hue
Oh what – Mystic thews!
When at rest a book of poetry was read
Stirring joys within as mirth spread
Well measured words, well designed
A wand cast a spell as it
Hovered like mist, to be dispelled
Precious pearls gathered to a thread
The artist knew she held an exquisite jewel
Of all most priced: celestial chains
Buried beneath, was recovered to revel
See how the mind grappled and grasped
A beauteous thing made to last
Never empty or dull but richly
Soaked with life
As when a thoughtful song shared with
Someone, wordless told – you cared
Today my vision has nurtured and bloomed
And has with seasons mellowed
Into soft silent reflective rooms
Of her own.
Wondering – if time has arrived
To share and show what has grown and filled
As with that invitation so rare
To plant a seed of love, when
Was made, by gods or Seraphim
None can tell or know
To one’s heart alone, a warm friendship
Lightened and true is found
With crowns of ivy, bluebells
And daisies blessed
That drew us apart – renewed
Notes tuned and strummed, gently
To a chorded rhyme
In every soul – a musical, echo must find!
