Light
(For Joyce Meyer)
A golden tinge pierces
The still air breathes
...

We are in a match
And you call the shots
I’m the captive of your soul
Steady your heart
...

In frightened gallops
Against allotted time
I fumble for words
With chances throttled
...

For a moment I thought it was her
I stayed with Time
Just a trick of the mind
No passer-by turns to glimpse at me anymore
...

Must you drive my centre away
And tilt my balance?
My little toe cries
And moves to tears
...

To tease the body like Orlando
And ease the mind like Virginia
It’s between the acts
To the lighthouse the waves tower
...

Death – follows me
A shadow of a friendly dog
Who wags his tail
...

Out in my garden
A vengeance strange – displayed
Deadly blue pellets – sprayed
To lure and kill the slugs
...

87558
Just a poem;
I’ve said that a million times
Till the scabs have fallen off
...

Once a room in garden grew
Brilliant like the sunflower, I knew
At sundown her cosy corner shone
Wearing a rosy look that charmed
...

You are to me
A gentle puddle
The rains have lavished.
I need you like the soil
...

Sometimes there is more
To the inviting shores – I believe
I picked up a seashell
In the warmth of Langkawi and
...

Never mind there’s a daisy on my sleeves
It’s my mother’s heart
I take it with a stride
And smile away my hurt with pride
...

We burn fireworks
Yea! Good to drive
The dark demons away
But on our roads lie
...

As your eyes bedeck
The horizon –
Your smiles widen my
Role – from heaven
...

The sky was liquid blue
As though it had borrowed
The scene from the ocean
The puffy clouds spread
...

Unknown is my destiny
But I see your smiling face
At every bend a Daisy buds
Radial flowers like your radiant ‘eye’
...

Tears of joy and laughter
Gather as the storm.
The crowd pulled and filled along
Words distil to form images
...

O Lord!
A Little galaxy moves in me
Lord I know every element builds
A chain reaction sets off
...

Tower of Our Strength
(For the President of the USA, George W Bush)
The towers of liberty
Stood tall as powers of victory

Light (For Joyce Meyers)

Light
(For Joyce Meyer)
A golden tinge pierces
The still air breathes
Oh how gently
The morning calls me
To a song
Look the sun peeps
In grandeur
Behind a dark cloud
Like a lethargic snail
He slowly pulls out
His winsome shining face
My eyes are smitten
By His sweet grace
For a moment it blinds
As He rides majestically
The beams penetrate
Every seam of life
His love smoothly sails as light
The warm spring air
Dances with delight.
How wondrous – how breathtaking
The sun is to me
Victor of the heavens
Conquers fear and darkness
Sometimes with ripping laughter
He bellows His way softly into noon
A faceted splendour arrayed
And sometimes like an ageing man
He doth take his seat
To settle down at dusk
Twilight peals and rings
Drowned in the ocean tone
He sails the trusts
The horizon reddens to a different tune and hue
It begins a song in my soul
A time for a lullaby
Safe in His hands
As even falls
All praise to the Lord of creation
My light, my father
Jehovah Jirah
Faster can any reach
His loving arms tonight,
After the heart’s cold, wintry draught.
