...Of Love

She is cut from the rocks around her
like a diamond
but she is anything but pure
convinced she doesn't have to chase
what she can attract
and because of that
I soak into her skin like rain
and become part of her to such a degree
that I fell in love with the melody of the phone
when she calls
all along I wanted a love
that's as unexplainable as she is
but I wasn't prepared for it at all
its the kind of love
that keeps you up at night
counting the stars in your sky
and the thoughts in your head
the damage is done
the feeling can't be avoided
and neither can she...
