Ogbanjé Poem by Skai Reborn

Ogbanjé

Once upon a time
In the years of my youth
I met that which was sublime
Submissive and sooth

I never wrote her a rhyme
Yet she stalked like a sleuth
Her only wish was to be mine
So I remained to uncover a truth

That this daughter of satan
Was in fact an emissary of shaitan
Married to Poseidon
While her heart belonged to Triton

Now I could remain no more
Not because I was frightened
This mermaid promised me all
But I was more enlightened.
