Oh God Poem by PratyasiniS Satapathy

Oh God

Rating: 5.0

Oh God,
I didn't ask you to empower me
To hold the heaven in my heart.

I simply ask to give me 2 feet of field
Where I can live my life by your name
But you gave me the whole world to live
I am unable to take your name some time.

I simply ask to give me a small home,
Where I can stay with my parents for ever.
Why you gave me such a big palace,
Which is valueless without my parents.

I asked you for a piece of bread,
To fill my small stomach.
But you gave me so many testy dishes.
I am wasting it many times.

I asked you for lovable friend,
To whom I can give company all the way.
But you gave so many sweet friends,
They more precious than my life.

I asked you for a partner
To share my feelings with him.
But you gave me a lovable and caring soul mate
Who is so precious...
I am sharing my life with him.

I didn't ask you to come to earth,
To give me all the happiness,
But why u came in front me as my parent,
This gift I really love a lot………..

But I am not the perfect one to get all this at once.
I am scared;
By getting all the happiness I might forget your name.
