Oh Heart Of Mine Poem by Nyx C Styx

Oh Heart Of Mine

Rating: 5.0

Be silent in your protest, oh heart of mine!
thou knowest not what is best for thee
have you no call but a wail or whine
to the sound of truth that beats on thee?
and with dreams unfulfilled thou seekest disgrace
a drunkard of fancy, and thoughts are wine
you swell the tears and blood upon my face
be silent in your protest, oh heart of mine!
