Oh My Buffalo! (Thoughts Of My Friend, Vishal When He Shifted His House From A Village To The Suburbs) Poem by Dinesh Shekhar

Oh My Buffalo! (Thoughts Of My Friend, Vishal When He Shifted His House From A Village To The Suburbs)

Oh my buffalo…
My life wanders around you,
The thunder of your grumble…
Sordid it might be ….
Little by little….
I started liking…

At the crack of dawn…
When the whole world is asleep
You welcome me to your barn..
Still to find out
the meaning of your smirk…
Oh my buffalo…
That was a time..
When you wake up and
Wait for me…
Those exciting days..
Those thrilling days of milking…

Here in the metro..
I miss…
The chandeliers of cloud…
The pleasant earthy smell of..
Pre-monsoon rain…
And all…

Oh my buffalo…
Let me give a comfort to you..
I will return to our lovely village…
Will return to my childhood…
And to the muddy pocket roads of
Our sweet village..
Oh my buffalo….
This is for you…
