Ojo Esan (Rain Of Retribution)

Rating: 5.0

OJO ESAN (RAIN OF RETRIBUTION)

The cloudy sky breaks the heart of "awon to sa aso lai woke"
"Igbagbe se won wipe" life is not a bed of roses
Please inform "awon patepate" that "oju ojo ti n su"
This rain will beat "onile ati alejo" that treat this as levity

As days wears chameleon gown to prove the volatility of life,
"Se oun lo mu babalawo difa oroorun" to envisage the omen
"Igbagbe se" prodigal son in his ecstatic,
Having a reserved retribution in his "ile ifowopamo"

What a pity for "omo to gbagbe ile" as he patiently "fi apo iya ko"
Nemesis is at the corner ready to dispense its currency,
Because "eni ti o ta oja erupe dandan ni ki o pa owo okuta"
You can only own today but tomorrow is not yours,
And you have used yesterday, posterity possess today

We told you yesterday to "logba dadaa" because "igba ni onigba nlo"
"Eniawifun oba je o gbo" was our anthem then
"Ojo esan ti su bayii" and it shall rain cat and dog,
The rain is ready to wreck the abode of "awon amookun seka"

Who can stop this rain from falling?
The audacity has been withdrawn from "akikanju ana"
The power is now vested in "oromadiye ana ti o ti di akuko"
The rain shall fall, the wind shall surely blow and we shall see the "furo adiye"

"Eseere kodara, eyin aye kan esayeere
Olugbon se, odara
Ajero se, odara
Eyin aye kan esayeere" was our watchword.

The harvest time has come
"Alaga Kansu", you have sowed,
We, the "mekunu" are even eating the proceeds of your deeds,
As its spicy aches our intestine and removed the front tooth of our parents.

We also greet our "awodi that cannot "gbe adiye"
We all made you a vulture but can't carry a fowl,
The change we craved for did not surface
Anyways, the "ayipada" you claimed you are does not justify your deed.

"Awodi oke o mope ara ile n woo oun"
Otun digba kan na, ipadee wa bi oyin o.
