Oklahoma! Oklahoma! Oklahoma! - Poem by Oscar D. Washington

Ancient's past,
Red Man's sanctuary...
Valleys flow majestic high
Wind swept planes,
Sunset actuary...
Liberty's goals shall not die!

America's heartland,
Constitution's scroll
Aid thy neighbor, humanity's zest!
Children sing
Thy songs of old...
Healing potions; natures's best!

High above
The smoking clouds,
High above the hurts of men
Lies the answer
'Neath the schrods...
Countless stars thy soul amend!
