Old Age Brings Many Sorrows - Poem by Shalom Freedman

OLD AGE BRINGS MANY SORROWS

Old Age brings many sorrows
The illnesses and dying of friends
Is a major one
The more one has
The more one loses

Life is difficult anyway
But this loss of friends in old age
Is a defeat
That can never be reversed
