Old Age Is Often Impatience Poem by Shalom Freedman

Old Age Is Often Impatience

Old Age is often Impatience
Over nothing
Impatience over something so small
It would not have even been given attention in the past
Old age is disturbance and confusion inside
Endless frustration resentment foolish anger and stupidity
It is not a princelike state of being
Old age is an endless irritation
No wonder so many old people
Hate their lives and wait to die
