Old Age Is Tiredness Poem by Shalom Freedman

Tiredness and more tiredness-
It is just not having the energy
To do what once did-
It is a tiredness too of Mind
Of feeling too much repetition in things
In feeling one has seen all this before-
It is weariness with Life itself
And a reluctance to even hear about any new problem.

It is a wanting to sleep
To be out of all-
Every little thing is too much
And there is a desire to simply be left alone
And not bothered.
