Old Bones Poem by Marica Apodaca

Old Bones

Old bones buried
never to be disturbed.
They lie deep in the ground
voices no longer heard.

Once a living creature
inhabiting this earth
Now laid to rest
having little worth.

Forgotten by most
like fallen leaves of life's tree.
Old bones buried deep
The Spirit set free.
