Old-But Able Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Old-But Able

Be thankful to live another day,
Arising to enjoy the bright sunshine,
And to view the beauty around you,
The gigantic oaks, the maples, the tall pines.

The years will pass by so quickly and,
There will be an awkward slowness in your pace,
But you still can appreciate the beauty near you
That will bring a smile to your wrinkled face.

Old, but able- set a pace for yourself,
Have an appreciation of Nature in your heart
and enlist a person to accompany you.
May you and your cane never be apart.
