Omnibus Poem by Gaurav Das

Omnibus

I'm waiting for the right Omnibus
It is broad light, but still dawn to me

I can hitchhike, but you do not drive by
these roads anymore
Scattered pine cones all around,
But no rhapsody

What I see is trespassers,
Lost in this crowd
No heaven, just fenced

My heart or a pawn shop
Reach out in your old socks
Let your rain, show me the way

Wash away these pine cones
Who have settled,
on this never ending highway
