On A Lighter Note Poem by Marilyn Lott

On A Lighter Note

I rhymed about the coronavirus
The most shocking thing in my life
We hope for the best, it seems a test
The entire world full of strife.

But let us think about the beauty
About our world we can see
New buds are popping up everywhere
They are all so exciting to me.

I know there are those who have none
No flowers in the world at all
But think about what makes you smile
What makes you feel ten feet tall.

Nothing lasts forever, yes it's true
Think of something someone wrote
Something that warms your heart
Something on a lighter note!
