It was on a serene nigh' of August
I was lollin' on the grass land lookin'
On the vast beauty of the dark heaven
Above mine pate for there were no other
Glow other than the glimmering shine
Of the twinklers that have trodden these good
Ol' vales for many a great eon and whose eyes
Sawst the victories and tragedies of
The greatest souls across the ages; For their
Sight beheld the bi'th of civilization, the rise and
Fall of an empire. I wonder what they'd have
Witnessed on the fall of Ides of March and their
Experience of witnessing the great pharaohs
Strolling through the sands. But their virtuous
Existence doesn't simply end there for they have
A million tales to tell as they'd gone through
The names of the renaissance and saw a man
Build glasses that made us see their divine
Bodies; They were there all the time like a
Soothsayer and assisting men through the
Tough times when they didn't have a needle to
Guide them through the nightly places. The vision
Of those shining idols have acquireth ken
Of millennials old when they got to witness the
Bards' incipient int'lligence and the closure of
Their eyes forever. As I was there laying, I
Gradually drowned myself into an ocean of vanity
Ruminating of my own regal fortune for
I was shonest upon by the very stars that had shone
Their rays of grace on the forth-said men
And I started to take a trudge to my home
Dreaming that I too shall become a name,
For being under their glare before the time
Comes for me when I'll be laid to the ground to
Be stared by them for an eternal span.
