On Jealousy. Poem by Alison Rosalie

On Jealousy.

as blinded as i am
by beauty,
the sickening
bracket of people
who bear the adjective
i know this body
has a bare divinity
unseen by anyone
but you.

and the dainty daisies
who barely cover their bones
and showcase their framed angles
to the entire spectating world

can only ever hold
your shallow stare
for but a second, and

when you look back -

i will be standing there.
