On Living On Earth Poem by Dr John Celes

On Living On Earth

Rating: 5.0

If I can be what others try to be,
I'm afraid, I could land in vanity;
If I remain myself adamantly,
I'm afraid, I could lose my sanity!

But I can't change the ways the world wants me;
I ought to have my own identity;
I must live up to my conscience freely,
Or else lose my happy eternity!

God gave us freedom to think and to do;
We are accountable for every deed;
A life-time shouldn't vanish like morning dew;
Through labour hard, we must become good seed!

Why to welcome the evil that surround?
We ought to spread goodness to all around;
Evil thoughts, misdeeds could turn ghosts that hound;
Than scary mountain, better be good mound!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

One must be true to themselves for them to be sincere with and about others...A fine write, Doc...Good seeing you here...After a 2.5 year absence, I have decided to give PH one last go....PF is all but a one and done site who is so desperate, theyhave to stoop to skewing their daily volume stats......Not that PH wasn't more dubious....but it appears that new ownership & a semi-caring management team has been put in place, here....So, i''ll give it a go & hope things will be different at PH...~FjR~
