On Love Poem by Shirley Harrison

On Love

He turned to me

and in his sweet soft voice

said,

speak to me of love,

and so I raised my head

and my shoulders and I did…

Me,

if one is not willing to fight for ones' love

then love is lost

when the tongue be stubborn in silence

even though the heart

be full of warmth wants to speak

love is lost

If one feels alone

even though one is in love,

that love is lost.
