On Meditation And Nature Therapy Poem by Mary Champion

On Meditation And Nature Therapy

With the best will in the world: -

A walk in the woods won't pay the bills
mindful breathing won't cure all ills.
Meditation won't feed the kids
replace the flesh on skeletal ribs.
Positive thinking alone won't build
homes or see our bellies filled.

The mind was never enough to fix
the woes that living this life inflicts.
It's practical acts by practical hands
putting in place pragmatic plans
will rescue beleaguered Humanity.
We can't be saved in theory.
