On Moving On Poem by Helen Crutchett

On Moving On

The river ne'er looks behind
What's written is written
Too late to atone...

The tide keeps flowing
Thanks to the moon
We keep boating
In a floating of trust...

There are things we've done that
Can ne'er be changed,
It's best we accept, losing a battle
That ne'er be won.

Instead of regretting
Yesterday's story
You can write anew,
Learning our lessons and
Then moving on...
