A flat little flounder,
all alone,
Deep down where the sea bottom silent groans.
He dreams of a tasty and fishy bite,
To fill his empty tummy again tonight.
He swims and he searches, down and around,
On the sandy and gentle sea bottom ground.
He can find what he need
all by himself,
No need for no help or no food on a shelf.
But a shadow above him
big and vast,
A giant huge fish popped up swimming past!
He now needs a place where he safe can be,
Hidden alone in the fairy dark sea.
He digs himself down, out
of sight,
Hope to escape with all
his might.
He waits in the sand
with a shiver low,
Till the big fish disappear and have to go.
The deadly danger soon
is gone,
Now he can swim again, on and on.
The little flounder was lucky and again feeling free,
Happy and alone in the deep blue sea.
