On The Boughs Of A Mango Tree Poem by Keerthi Poluru

On The Boughs Of A Mango Tree

On the boughs of a mango tree
amidst delicate spring leaves,
unfurls soft scents of sweet sourness,
tiny blossoms falling,
like shooting stars
to the evening breeze,
on deep top branches
perched koels,
cooing mockingly at the forlorn hearts.
