On The Brink Of Oblivion Poem by Yasmin Hemmat

On The Brink Of Oblivion

Rating: 5.0

In the pursuit of unknown
In the valley of shadow of death
I am standing on the brink of oblivion, alone
Bewitched by his rapturous breath

On the black throne, death reigns upright
Above the cave and chasm of fire
Calling the demons in the dead of the night
Shaking with laughter and desire

He lays me upon a bed of crimson flowers
Under the pitch-black night sky
Kisses me with all his powers,
When, the last embers of the stars die.
