On The Canvas Of Poetry Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

On The Canvas Of Poetry

Within the vacant breast the words arise,
Upon the silver stream the shapes unfold.
The verse is like a star in peaceful skies,
The poet shines to turn the mind to gold.

Upon the chest of time descends the night,
Deep in the quiet corner songs awake.
The open pages hold the dream in sight,
The vacant pages breathe for music's sake.

The gentle melody removes the pain,
The drifting clouds reveal the hidden ray.
The barren desert turns to fertile plain,
The inner canvas turns to glowing day.

By letters drawn, the spirit starts to thrive,
Through verse sublime, this life is kept alive.
